This book is a modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Liz and Jane Bennet, who live in NYC, return to Ohio to help her mother and three useless sisters take care of their father who is recovering from a heart attack. During this visit, Liz finds that the home is falling apart and needs extensive repairs, as well as the finances to maintain the home. The other sisters’ lives consist of either taking online courses or Cross Fit workouts. Mrs. Bennet’s main focus is finding husbands for her unmarried daughters. Her focus is setting up Jane, the oldest, with the most eligible bachelor in town at an upcoming barbeque.

The book was a fun read! What was nice was that some of the chapters are very short making it an easy read too.
